Israel; hamas war updates

Since October 7th when Hamas initiated its attack on southern Israel, at least 279 Israeli soldiers have been killed, and the total Israeli casualties include at least 1,300 deaths and 3,400 injuries.   •  Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip have resulted in at least 2,329 Palestinians killed and over 9,714 wounded. The West Bank has also seen casualties, with at least 53 reported deaths and more than 1,100 injuries


  •   The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported 126 confirmed Israeli hostages held in Gaza, with Hamas claiming that 13 hostages, including foreigners, have been killed in Israeli airstrikes.

 

  •  Israel's communications minister is considering the closure of Al-Jazeera's local bureau, alleging pro-Hamas incitement and endangering Israeli soldiers.
  •  The US embassy in Israel plans to evacuate people from Haifa to Cyprus by sea.
  • There was an exchange of fire across the Lebanon-Israel border, resulting in one fatality and three injuries in Israel. Israel retaliated in Lebanon, imposing restricted access zones and disrupting GPS operations in the north near Lebanon and the south near Gaza.
